What is Resource Conservation and Development?

Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) is a rural development program administered by the    U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resource Conservation Service. It is focused on the conservation, development and utilization of natural resources to improve our standard of living.

Each RC&D area is a community program established, sponsored and directed by local leaders. A council, representing county land conservation committees, as well as other organizations and units of government, governs each area.

Vision:

Maintain a sustainable natural resource base for future generations.

Mission:

Pri-Ru-Ta Resource Conservation & Development (RC&D) Council’s mission is to provide assistance and leadership to community partners to help them meet

their resource conservation and development goals in Northwestern Wisconsin.
